Cindy Ann Peterson is an independent fashion and design consultant specializing in couture. Her interest and passion is the creation of a complete client package by dovetailing this unique skill with image consulting, creating a unique synthesis of fashion and image transformation.  Her unique expertise has created a broad client base in the greater Washington, DC area with executive-level customers in corporations, U.S. Government agencies, and academia.

























Cindy Ann has received the 2011 Chapter Member of the Year Award from AICI, for the Washington DC Metro Chapter. Is currently serving as Washington DC Metro Chapter as Secretary and head of chapter Philanthropy for 2011-2012 and as 2011-2012 Secretary for the AICI International 501(c)3 for Philanthropy programs and AICI International Philanthropy lead for 2011-2012.

 

In addition to designer, published author, speaker and television spokesperson on sewing and style, she has also been recognized for her creations in national-level competition skating costumes as well as clothing for the disabled. In 1994, she was tailor-on-call to President Clinton at the Asian Pacific Economic Conference (APEC).

 

Cindy Ann received her BS from University of Wisconsin-Stout in Apparel, Textiles and Design, and is currently studying with the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.  She is Universal Style Trained by Alyce Parsons. Professional memberships include: Association of Image Consultants International and The American Sewing Guild (ASG). Cindy Ann received AICI’s 2010 Civility Star Award for her work on the Civility Counts Project. She also serves as a chair on the AICI Image + Disabilities Book. Peterson is co-chair for The Leadership for New Generations Conference for Middle Schools in the Capital Region, March 11, 2011, at George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia. Peterson was also the VP of Membership for the Washington DC Metro Chapter of AICI 2010-2011.
